From building the frames to stretching the burlap base, every step is executed with care and intention. Collecting and utilizing materials such as reclaimed furniture and repurposed coffee bean burlap sacks, Jamie demonstrates a deep commitment to sustainability and environmental consciousness. He strives to produce zero waste in creating of these works and the final pieces are planet-friendly.
In his creative process, Jamie finds space for introspection and contemplation. Each pulled loop is a moment of reflection, prompting consideration of his Acadian heritage while also considering our collective place in this changing world.
