Function

To see evolved craft is a real treat indeed, but I really love functionality. What kind of stuff can ever be fully used up and be positively returned to the Earth? Even more, can it help to leave the world better than we found it? We have a duty to take charge of our consumption to leave positive trails behind us. This philosophy is called circular economy and for some reason it's got me. Here's an example.

Last year, I had a catastrophic failure in an item that I purchased more than a decade ago. My plastic frisbee disc had cracked! Yes, it could be recycled, perhaps into something useful, or I could simply throw it in a recycling bin. But this results in excess energy, and often, a poor product. So with this idea from Louis, I turned to my craft.

It actually turned out ok. Despite it being a Frankenstein's monster of materials, it is holding together and continues to provide me with the occasional par. This will eventually have to move into it's next stage in the circular economy, but not yet.
